Deborah Streatfield, Chair of Governors
Academic Committee
Deborah began her career teaching in secondary schools. Subsequently she moved into outplacement. Further work with HMP Bronzefield, alongside working with the homeless, instilled the idea of a Charity; MyBigCareer was launched in 2013. Sponsorstars was set up in 2017, sponsoring children facing poverty in the UK. In 2021, Deborah launched The Careers Office. Additionally, she is Governor of St Mary’s University.
Throughout her 40 year career, Deborah has juggled the demands of six children. She passionately believes that every student should be treated with patience, care and empathy as if they were her own son and daughter and with a promise of conveying the same drive and ambition.
